We running the car an getting home I have noticed a very strange burning smell.. Hard to describe... Maybe it's the clutch or trans? Idk but the harder I push her the more potent the smell. An it's been there since I've had the car but it's getting progressively worse. (smell occurrd on both engines, old and current)

"We running the car an getting home"

Felt like I was reading another language. From the brief description I'm going to suggest the very typical valve cover leak. It's common and about right for what you mention.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

if you think it is tranny fluid, maybe you should take out your tranny dipstick and see what type of condition it looks like it is in and make sure that the level is proper as well. Also, smell the tranny fluid.........is this what you are smelling or not. If not, it is most likely an oil leak, although it could be from any fluid. Are any of your fluids low(check the oil just before it is due for a change-power steering low? brake levels? Anti freeze? etc.)
Now thats thinkin with your dipstick, Jimmy.......

Sorry lol I'm using my iPod and sometimes it's retarded, I meant after running the car and getting home. But ya I've had various leaks, all have been taken care of within the past month. I couldn't smell it just now (I just got home) so idk...

clean out the entire engine bay with engine degreaser spray...........thoroughly clean it, rinse it and see if the smell goes away. Then you will be able to tell where the leaks are coming from if you have any......
