    I looked at the filter yesterday and noticed there was a bunch of moisture and dirt on the bottom half of the filter, so I'm thinking about just going semi-open cone. I would still leave the small stubble on the end of the TB and get a real long filter to try and keep it away from the engine heat.

    If its in the engine compartment...its gonna get hot. Just run a open cone...your top swapped...itll be fine.

    Alright thanks guys, so I just just stick with the smaller size cone filter and stick it on the throttle body? The longer one isn't much more but will it really make a difference?

    Right...cone on the TB. Then put your IAT somewhere...it doesn't really matter.

    Ok thanks I'll probably just ziptie it by the filter. Does filter size really matter can I just keep the normal size?

    JUst get the shorty spectra filter its cheap it works and looks good

    In a bit I'm gonna go switch over to the open cone and add some power steering fluid cuz it's whining like a *****, if I have time I'll post a pic of my old filter the thing's disgusting you can't even see red in some spots.
