I ran Harland Sharp 1.9 RR's and 105#'s, no issues. Lot's of good advice on here - mainly like TDC said - the need for 105's is more important than a lot of people think. Valve float = no bueno.

The L76/L92 valve spring. Part # 12589774. With a GM list price of $3.59 each. (Pace Perf, $2.59)They have the same 90# seat pressure as the yellow LS6 spring, but a lower spring rate. LS6 are 375#/in. L92 are 348#/in. The Comp Cams 105# springs have a spring rate of 313#/in.
These springs actually cost less than our stock springs.
The valve spring specs for the GM springs are on page 281 of the 2008 GM Performance Parts Catalog. The L92 spring does have a limit of .530 lift so it is for rockers and mild cams, like the VS. By my calculations, at .500" lift the L92 and the 105# Comp cams are within 3 or 4 lbs in total pressure. This is a lower cost set up that should lower the wear compared to the LS6.

So, with the 1.95 YT RRs, I should be fine with my L76 springs? I have NO intention of going with an aftermarket cam. EVER.
stock cam is .258/.258, so with 1.95 ratio rockers it would end up being .503/.503 total lift. technically they should be okay. you might want a stronger spring for the peace of mind.
what is you guys opions on the comp cam 105's???
all the insidents of spring faluires and what not.

FWIW, I just found my receipt for my L76 springs. About $32 from ZSPOT on NAIOA.com. So, 05SS45, if you're looking for springs, I'd contact ZSPOT no matter what spring you go with.

Do I have to pull the motor on an 05 to install a cam. Thats the only reason I would use rockers instead.
no, you can do it through the passenger side fender well if you drop the cradle a little bit. ive done it in and out of the car.
I don't think it would be hard but time consuming for sure
