Thread: Creaking Sound

Whenever I hit my gas pedal to begin accelerating forward I hear a loud creaking noise. Any ideas?

Bump...ideas anyone?

i had some kinda creaking noise, but it wasnt under throttle when mine happened... try greasing everything and see what happens... it fixed my prob.

motor mounts? spray them down with WD40......and all the other bolt locations in the motor bay.........is it just one sound, coming from both sides, coming from the front? Your brakes aren't sticking at all are they?

Yeah its just one creaking sound coming from the front when I first start to accelerate.
I'm actually going to replace the pads tuesday cuz they're getting pretty bad.

Also it happens when I shift from park to reverse, reverse to drive, and drive to reverse.

That could be anything in the front end that moves(brakes, suspension, mounts, etc.) Sorry I am not of much help...

Its alright, I think I might try the strut mounts first.

If you haven't already you could pop the hood and have somebody shift it back and forth while you listen to see if you can narrow it down any. It does sound like one of the mounts to me.

Good idea I might try that tomorrow.
Probably just gunna replace the strut mounts cuz I've had a few people say that now and even if its not the problem they still have 111,000 miles on them thye're bound to go soon anyway.
