When my engine is dead cold and I start it, I get a loud hissing sound from the left headlight area of the engine bay. After 15 seconds, the sound fades, and its gone until the next time the engine is stone cold. No codes. Any ideas?

Got a aftermarket intake? That's the reason. They all do that.
It's the IAC that is the sound behine what you are hearing. They all do it to a certian extent but some do seem to be louder.
You will. An intake just makes it louder. Although on our car I can't hear it at all.
Is the IAC going bad when they get louder than normal? Or is that just the air rushing past it? I am having some random hard starts in the morning too, I was planning on changing the IAC anyways...
Stock airbox BTW.
FWIW...my mom has a '03 LeSabre and it sounds like it has a aftermarket CAI the IAC is so loud on it and it is stock...
yea it souns kinda like a plastic shovel scraping on pavement if you have an intake
Id rather live with the hiss. My GT is slow enough as it is. Dont need it anymore slower.
Put a K&N panel filter in it and hear it even more
