Hello, And Best of the Seasons to all!!
Anyways to my car, the Money Pit! The other day I got in my car, closed the door, heard a stange kind of popping sound, thought nothing much of it. Then shortly there after the window fell straight down in it's track. It's cold here in Northern Ontario, I had to use vise grips in the door to hold the window up!! Did a cable break? can just the cable be replaced or do I have to remove and replace the whole regulator assembly?
Any thoughts and help are appreciated.

Yep, cable most likely broke on the window regulator. Order a new power window regulator. You probably don't need the motor too. Just the regulator. You might want to get some door panel clips too cause some of them might break or are already broken when you pull the door panel off.

Use a clip or trim panel puller less headaches that way. They are pretty cake and will take you less than a half hour to do

Thanks for the responses, I appreciate the advise. It's cold here in the north, I only want to take it apart outside once!
