So the car is a 01 gt with 107k on it and i decided to install a P&P LIM for a few horses as an excuse to replace some seals. In doing so I had to remove the UIM/TB assembly, serpentine belt, idler pulley, alternator. I have two questions:

    1. I have a small spring about .5" long and .25" dia left over. I have no idea where it came from and I have the car back together and running without it. Anyone know where it came from or if its important?

    2. I have a coolant leak coming from the passenger side since the install. But as far as I know the only part of the LIM that has coolant flow through it on that side is the small plastic elbow connected to the coolant manifold by the idler pully. That plastic elbow appears to be dry both times I've checked it, any other ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

The spring could be the PCV valve spring...

cool, i'll check that. anyone have any ideas about the leak? its leaking pretty heavily. But that plastic coolant elbow still appears to be dry. where else could it be coming from?

There isn't really anywhere from the LIM it could be leaking on that side except the two coolant elbows. Did you check both?

Yeah I was gonna say. Coolant elbows tend to crack too...might check for leaks there.
