bad solenoid in the steering column.

What can cause the key to get stuck in the ignition

take off that solenoid , trashed mine .. everytime i turned off the ignition switch i could not take off the key , theres a little hole under your steering column if you stick a screwdriver or something thin in it , you could take off your key , but it will start failing on you once it starts sticking so i dump it .
