i have an 04 gtp comp g and when it rains hard or i go thru the car wash, it leaks down into the map light area then drains in between the map lights. just curious if anyone has experienced this before and/or probable cause of the leak. i think prolly the sunroof seal but i wanna get some opinions. thanks!

my 99 does the exact same thing. My solution was I removed the map light/sunroof switch, then took a t-shirt and jamed it in the opening. Problem fixed

On the 04 Comp G... its the atenna on the roof right above the mirrior/map lights. Remove the antenna, put on some RTV and bolt it back down, that will fix the problem. My brother in laws 04 Comp G had the same exact problem, easy and painless fix...

yea i have an 04 comp g that is leaking water in map lights and there is a water stain on ceiling around the lights about 2 feet wide will try to use the sealant on the satellite antenna see how it works, do you remove antanna or just put sealent arount it on the roof

Removed the antenna... It was pretty easy to do, IIRC I pulled off the map light panel (clipped in) and moved the headliner down a little bit. I think one or two screw was hold on the antenna on the roof. I poped it up, cleaned the roof and gasket really well and coated both sides of the gasket with RTV (I used the grey stuff, for water pumps, stuff like that) then bolted it back down. Once tight, I wiped off the excess RTV squeezed out and put it all back together. Only took me 10 minutes to do.

Sorry my instructions ain't too clear, I did this awhile ago and cannot remember the details. You should be able to easily figure it out though, try it out, let me know if it worked, worked great for us and the problem hasn't been back in over a year and the car sits outside too...

I missed this one... My 1999 did the same thing. I used compressed air and blew out the drain tubes (which nothing came out that I noticed). From there I used some armor all on the sunroof weatherstrippping like I have on the door and trunk seals for years... problem solved. I armor all mine every other month or so and its been fine for 3 years now...

Yeah I had the same problem - the only mistake I made was letting the dealer do it for $97.00
