I keep getting an engine code every tank of gas, usually somewheres between5/8 and 3/8 of a tank. code reads emissions control evaporative leak- small.
Is there a common cause or location to this leak. please help, tired of constanly erasing the codes.
    Thanks in advance. Mark

Try replacing the gas cap first and see what happens. After that, perhaps start looking for vacuum leaks in the vacuum lines (holes, cracks, line not connected well, etc). Could be an issue with the purge solenoid, but Im not as confident on that one as I dont think Ive ever seen or heard of one going bad.

I'm on my second new cap, first new one broke while trying to remove, seems to be making a positive seal.

I'll tell you what I did, just because Im anal that way, I went and put zip ties on all my vacuum line connections. There arent many of them, but since they are just press on connections for the most part I reasoned that some kind of positive clamping force would help avoid any leaks at those points anyway.
