I have a 98 gtp and everytime i drive down a hill for an extended period of time my rpms drop and my car will eventually shut off. It will start up after that but will not idol right. After awhile it will work fine again but it is a pain being i live in wisconsin and all we have are hills. i need some input so i can get it fixed. thanks

why would going down a hill matter? does it do the same thing when you are going in the high rpm's and then let it coast? how does it idle?

for some reason it sounds like it is surging when you are idling, but when you coast it drops down lower than idle and dies.

it idles a little rough at times, where it will slightly go up and down. but not too bad. it wont kill when it just sits and idles just when i go down a large hill. could it be a bad mass air flow sensor?

well considering that at an angle your gas tank is at an angle also that might be somewhere to start. Maybe a clogged fuel pump or something like that.
