I had the neutral safety switch replaced in my '93 Gran Prix last week. It ran fine all weekend and then Monday morning it started acting up again. It died and the lights began flashing on the dash. Drove it back to the shop and they had it for two days (didn't look at it until the 2nd day) and they said they didn't have any trouble with it. It ran fine all Weds but then this morning the same thing happened.

I am wondering if the switch they put it is defective or they forgot to hook something up right or something.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    ????????????????????????????????

    Thanks!

Give us some more details on the problem so we can try to help you out.. Does it start back up? What is flashing?

That would mean the alternator was bad if the car dies when the battery cable comes off the battery..

Yes, it does start back up and it runs for a long time before it does it again.

All of the power goes out. Everything shuts down. The dash indicator lights flicker too.

So check the battery terminals and make sure their on tight. If the alternator is bad wouldn't the battery eventually quit?
