I'm curious as to what the common damage is when a SC 3800 grenades. I ask becasue i have the opportunity to buy a complete engine with pcm and harness for next to nothing, but theres not information on what happened to the engine. IF the SC is unharmed, I would concider a top swap to my 99!

usually if it is a bad carnage situation the block and heads are junk. what usually ends up happening is either you snap a rod and throw it out the side of the block or the valves hit the pistons and turn them into dust. usually both situations are pretty bad for the block and heads.

unless you have a crazy super blow up material should never reach the blower, but ive seen people get stuff in their lower intakes on a bad one.
