I replaced the reister, so my blower motor is working now but the rubber hose on top of the blower fan is about 4 inches long, w/ 90 degree angle, at the end that goes into dash, if i lined the holes up, the hose would not go on male outlet coming from dash, firewall or console (?), if I turned fan to where hose would go on, with out, crimping, then the resister plug wouldn't reach, so may be fan is from a different model year, idn.
? do you know if those hoses are interchangable, or do i have to look for a fan with a 2 in. hose on it. or is it even nessecary for rubber hose to be hooked up?
    Thanks

That hose is for cooling the motor so yes it is important. I would make sure that your old motor and new motor are the same. It's possible that it was boxed wrong..

Thanks for the response, all I did was replace the resister, so I will take blower motor off and turn blower motor and make sure I can hook up the hose, I hope previous owner didn't replace blower moter and used a different year blower motor.

Yup, that's what I would do. If it was on before you took it off to do the resistor, it will go on for you, just got to get it right.
