Which would you recommend as replacements? Suggestions for other brands of good plug wires welcome. Thanks!

It depends on your mod list but PRJ makes 10.4mm wires that are good. I have had bad luck with stock wires, breaking, tearing, going out earlier than they should. And ZZP makes 10.3mm wires but I haven't heard anything about them

Currently just intake and a full exhaust... Soon to come: ported front exhaust manifold, ZZP SS IC, different plugs, possibly thermostat, a smaller pulley, and eventually a tune

Well I would go with the PRJ's many people here run them and that's what I was running, no problems with them. They are GIANTS compared to stock and very durable.

Ya if you've got the cash then get some PRJ's. I love mine, they make changing plugs a breeze.

If you're going to be frequently modding (which means taking the wires off and putting them back on a lot), then get PRJ's. They'll pay for themselves after a while.

Well one good thing about buying them from a local parts place is that they will usually give you a lifetime warranty with them. And with how many burned set's that I had (getting burned by the header) and how many new set's I have received I think I made a good choice.

MSD offers some of the lowest resistance wires on the market.

    I don't know about PRJ's...Sorry

PRJ's won't burn. I remember seeing an engine fire picture and the PRJ wires were just sitting there chilling almost looking brand new.

On mine one of the boots in the back makes slight contact with the O2 sensor (just brushes it with engine vibrations) and there is not sign of scorching or melting.

Like we've said. Buy PRJ's once and never need new wires again.

wires are wires. they "good" ones are just more resilient to damage and breakage.

I knew that about the PRJ's. And actually remember that picture you're talking about.

I know they won't melt but the inside of the plug wire getting as hot as the header can't do too much good. On any plug wire. But I have heard nothing bad about PRJ. The y seem to be the sheet.

True. But you likley won't notice the gain. But every little bit helps.

if you think 1 ohm versus 0.8 ohms is going to help you then by all means spend a ton of money. i do have a nice set, but i took them off to make sure my wires were not my misfire problem. the next time i change plugs i will more than likely put them back on and then ill have giant wires again. i just like them because ive taken them on and off like 50 times and they are still perfect.

You're right. Especially considering a coil pack upgrade does very little on most of our cars.

Only reason to upgrade is if your going to be pulling them off all the time.
