    I need some help.

When my steering wheel is tilted all the way down I have SRS Air Bag light. Any other tilt position the light is out.

I have reset connectors behind the steering wheel, just need some guidance because I cant figure out which connectors are the air bag wires/connectors.

I was going to jiggle the wires while the car is running but then figured I really don't want the air bag going off even if I am out of the way.

I am a pretty good car guy but totally clueless on this airbag crap.

    Thanks

might need a new clock spring, its what the air bag wires lead to. then clock spring out and down the column to under the dash to a large plug.

    Thanks scotty,

I reset all the connectors, fiddles with the wires looking for a short or something. Priced a clock spring, was amazed how expensive, knew I couldnt get to the junkyard for a couple of weeks because of work, put it all together, drove it to see if my low idle issue was fixed (I replaced my MAF sensor) and voila! no SRS air bag light. So who knows?

My low is fixed but still had to press the gas pedal to get the car started and to keep it running for the first minute or so. New iac, maf sensor, egr, and completely clean throttle body and egr passages. Within last 15k new plugs and wires.

    Suggestions?

Fpr is bone dry. Same crap this morning, a little gas to start engine, a little gas to keep running, within 3 block it runs great. Idk. I went to buy a fuel pressure gauge online but couldn’t figure out which one to get. I dont know at this point, just plain weird

Could be a fuel pressure issue. Buy a cheap gauge on Amazon/Ebay. Pretty much anything with a schraeder valve will work. Screw it onto the fuel rail and turn the key on, don't start . Pressure should be 50 -60 psi. Try disconnecting the FPR and see if it changes. If it is low, most likely the fuel pump is bad. Would explain your issues. Easy fix. Pop the back seat and it's right there. I found a super deal on Ebay for mine. $25 for a old stock Delphi pump.

Thats what I am thinking. Or maybe fuel filter. The filter is 90k old and the pisser is I was just in the gas tank last year fixing the float and can’t remember if I changed the pump also. I looked online for a tester kit and was still confused so when I get home ill just get one at autozone so I can return it if it doesn’t attach. Thanks for the tips

Hey guys, I’ve noticed something that might help in troubleshooting. This inability to start without adding gas is only when the car has sat at a minimum overnight. If it’s at three hours it starts right up and runs fine what would that indicate? The fuel pressure regulator? Something bleeding down overtime?

Actually drove it at 8pm last night and started right up at 7am. It will be sitting 4 days at the airport so I will see what happens when I get back. I have ordered a fuel psi test kit and also got my fpr yesterday in the mail.

What is strange to me is that it started right up after 4 days and I havent had an issue since. Maybe the computer relearned my idle after a few cycles? I physically blew in the FPR tube. Either way, it is working now.

I do have a Fuel Pressure regulator sitting on my tool box. Is that an easy change out or is there a pain in the butt clip? Thanks

fpr is just a snap ring holding it in the rail.
