My wipers don't work right. The intermittent setting runs continuously. The pulse will not complete one sweep when pressed down and released--it stops when I let go of the stalk. I have to hit it repeatedly to get it back to the bottom of the windshield.

Is this the stalk or the motor?

You hitting the stalk or motor to get it to stop moving? Likely you are in seat and messing with stalk, so we would suspect stalk. Pump could be switch, pump or fuse. Once you can test for power at the pump, let us know and we can advise better.

Turned out the previous owner had torn out the hose for the washer. That's taken care of.

The motor seems to work, but the intermittent still doesn't. We can't figure out where the signal for the intermittent comes from. Is it the stalk, or is there a fuse or relay somewhere that I'm not finding in the manual? This is a GXP, BTW.

iirc the newer years have a black box on the wiper motor, its what works the intermittent wiper function. they go bad.
