Apparently this was a victim of my accident. Today it read 115 F. I believe in global warming, but this is Florida, not Death Valley.

Does anyone know where this is at, and whether it's an easy DIY?

It's up front IIRC sitting to the left or right of the radiator. Look for damaged wires if you had an accident before slapping a new sensor in (unless crushed)
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I found the hole where it's supposed to be. There's no sensor or wiring harness there.

Is it possible the mechanic stuffed it inside the front bumper? It seems to me if it were gone, I would get the OC message, not an incorrect temp.

When my wiring was messed up it defaulted to a super low temp so the ac wouldn't kick on in winter.

And.. as far as could someone have tucked it somewhere else, you're the eyes and ears. Time to start looking.
