Earlier this week all was well until this morning. I get in the car and noticed that the HVAC control panel is not telling the fan to blow any air. All the lights are on and you see where the control panel is displaying what i'm doing with the knobs (fan speed, mode setting,....) but it's doing nothing. At this point it just a panel with pretty lights.

I've checked all of the fuses labeled with anything to do with HVAC and they all look good (I only found 3 in the interior fuse panel. None in the fuse panel under the hood). I'm assuming at this point that I need a new HVAC control panel but thought I'd check with you all first to find out if this is a common issue and if so if there are resolutions that could be the fix? In my experience, if it was a resistor then fan speed would only work on Hi but nothing else. I guess it could be the blower motor itself?? Maybe I should tap it with a hammer to see if it starts spinning and if it does then it probably needs replaced?

usually its the fan quit, or the resistor to the fan burnt up.

Thanks for the feedback. Everything I'm seeing as I continue to look at YouTube and google points to that, as well. So looks like I'll just replace both and move along. I am going to check under the hood one more time because one video eluded to a resistor fuse being under there and if there is I must have missed it the first time I looked so I'm going to look again just to double check that.

if you tap on the fan motor and it spins, id just do the fan.

I ended up replacing both the resistor and the blower motor and I'm fixed back up again. For the resistor, I didn't even test to see if I needed that. I just figured while I was there I might as well because I didn't want to end up back down there on the floor again any sooner than necessary
