So I’ve only had my GTP for two days and haven’t had time to check much out as far wiring because we’ve been buried in snow so bear with me lol

My SRS air bag lights seems to randomly pop on and off. Is this a common issue with these? If so, is it most common to be a fairy air bag sensor or a wiring issue?

under the seat is a yellow plug take it off and on a few times to clean it. since your the new owner im sure you moved the seat, the plug can hit the carpet and it gets moved and then the light comes on. pretty common fix right there.

Awesome! I’ll definitely check that out. With it randomly popping off and on something like that makes perfect sense. Thanks for the reply, man

My 08 had a spot on the passenger seat by the seam that if you rubbed it when the light went on it would go off.

I kid you not. Never looked further than that after i found the spot to rub.

LOL!!!! That's too funny. My hope is that I'll find time this weekend to check the wiring under the seats to track down the issue. It's supposed to warm up by then and most of the snow melted off so I should be able to take a look at these things. In the end, it doesn't bother me too much. Just the light flashing on the dash. I probably wouldn't care at all if the light would just stay on

Mine never flashed. Just solid on. May be a bad sensor up front also. Not sure what the difference between solid and flashing means. But usually helps track down the problem.

Well, when I say “flashing” I mean it’ll come on solid for two minutes, pop off for 5 minutes, pop back on for 30 seconds, pop off for 3 minutes,....so very random and definitely seems like an electrical connection issue now that some of the others have mentioned it. On my way home from work tonight it didn’t pop on at all. Probably knows we’re talking about it LOL
