So I open bin, save it as .hpt, then I can edit it with current hpt and flash to my car? I'm more worried about bricking my pcm or something. Or would I have to buy more credits to flash what was once a bin?
Re: Car running LEAN right after it was running fine for what reason?
I would stick with the older software if it's an option, do you have the newer version of hp tuner, the one that connects via bluetooth?
Re: Car running LEAN right after it was running fine for what reason?
ok then, so take that bin copy it, make a edited one in TT, then dl hpt 2.2 open and save it. it will save as a .hpt, then you can flash it.

Thanks, Scotty. I have bills DB saved. I tried installing, but it requires Net Framework 1.1. Might be a pita to install it on Win10, but i'll figure it out.
Re: Car running LEAN right after it was running fine for what reason?
its in the folder there, just install it, it wont hurt anything. or you can google it and get it for free off the microsoft site.

Yeah I have MPVI2 standard.
Re: Car running LEAN right after it was running fine for what reason?
the latest unit may not run the older vs.

is it a cable or does it use bluetooth to connect?

Cable. I haven't even looked at the bluetooth feature. Thought that was just for the track app. I just opened it, plugged it in and started tuning.
Scotty, I'll figure it out. But 2.2 is giving Win 10 issues. I got the 2.22 installed but it crashes and won't save the bin.
Re: Car running LEAN right after it was running fine for what reason?
might have to do one of them deals where you tell it to run in XP or win 7.

Wouldn't it be backwards compatible? I was thinking i should be able to just open the .bin on 2.2, save as .hpt, then open in latest version, make changes, save, flash to car.
Re: Car running LEAN right after it was running fine for what reason?
you might have to flash witht he old vs. i had to upgrade my editor to see your hpt file. and the one im on is pretty new, so it might not even open it.

Yeah but you got meth. Cheater! Honestly though, I think I'm good for one more mod. It's between rockers or meth. I almost had a set of used 1.9's but the dude backed out.
What are your normal IAT's on a warm day?

BTW, you need to paint them bones. Yellow? :th_nervous:

thats my fuel rail. its a custom cut chop rebuild of a stock rail.
my ait's are hot if sitting, but dont really affect my trims. im like -5 or lower all the time. and they are still the same after the n* and new maf with ait built into it.

Re: Car running LEAN right after it was running fine for what reason?
That's awesome, forgot all about the diy fuel rails. I need to figure out a better way to attach the stock lines to the l67 fuel rail. They don't leak puddles, but I can always smell corn vapor from the slip on connection. Wiggle them and they leak.
Do you still have a hood liner? I'm thinking of ways to remove engine heat. That and wrap headers. Only my crossover is wrapped.
Looking at this wrap.
