Any reason other then bad luck to loose the transmission front seal? Its leaking alot of fluid from the inspection cover and when you pull the cover the torque converter is wet with tranny fluid. Had the transmission rebuilt almost 2 years ago. My stock torque converter sxxx the bed. Shop actually said that the torque converter was painted the wrong color so who knows what was in there, I got the car at 43,000 miles. Made almost 180,000 miles on my first bonneville with original transmission and I'm not even to 90,000 miles on this car. Nothing seems to be HP related.

It could have torn the oring on the input shaft.

I've never seen the front seal leak at all. It could happen, but that would be super rare.

I agree.. could be either and just bad luck because you have to pull it to do either of them and it'll take you no time to change them both.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
