Sounds like a bearing whine from the SC, along with a rattle now and then.

I am guessing the coupler is bad, but I worry over the whine noise. Is this something that replacing the SC oil tends to take care of, or possible additional issues (bearing) perhaps?

take belt off. snap sc pulley back and fourth, if the coupler is bad you will feel and hear a click.

no idea on the whining, superchargers are kinda know for the whine lol

post a vid, they always help.

your best to get a green coupler, even a zzp one is good, def better then a stock one or a dorman one. and the oil is only found at the dealership, or on line.

and supposed to use anaerobic sealant on the snout.

    Late reply.

Replaced coupler last weekend, seemed to help quiet down just a bit. Oil was sludge inside, so worth the effort. I also ended up replacing pads/rotors front and rear and front axles. I was getting a on-power vibration around 45-55mph (and the boots were torn) so just replaced.
