Re: Strange Moaning Noise 02 GTP
Update:
I checked the passages again and I was pretty sure I didn't see any blockages. Tried another PCV valve in case the first new one was bad, still made a worse sound than before. So I routed a line from a junkyard oil neck to the intake (red line). The sound is taken care of.

Re: Strange Moaning Noise 02 GTP
is that line between the MAF and the TB? just to make sure you are metering the air coming into the engine thru that tube
Re: Strange Moaning Noise 02 GTP
Mguzzo,
Yes it is. I just used push vacuum connectors though so the fit isn't as tight as I'd like. Is there something good I could use to seal the holes I made?

Re: Strange Moaning Noise 02 GTP
thats not where the hose goes. you pcv nipple on the side of the blower goes there. the valve cover hose needs to be in a nipple post maf, if thats a N* theres a nipple you can use. if not you drill and tap the brass plug under the l67 tb.
aka your doing it all wrong there. post a pic of the pcv port near where the egr would be. theres a evap port right there too that should have been sealed off if its not hooked up and being used.

My setup was the same as what was in your image from before with the N*, the TB nipple was connected to the PCV nipple. I left that as is and added the breather line. So that line originally there needs to go?

once the cap is off if you put your hand over the vc hole you'll feel it sucking air in. another member had this issue and it blew the front main seal off on him.
this thread covers how to deal with this issue if your spacers cover the pcv holes. lots of pics. always good.

posted the how to, has pics. ^^^^^^^
Re: Strange Moaning Noise 02 GTP
with the maf being at the air filter its not 100% wrong, but its not right either as set up in the pic posted.

http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...en-five-gen-5) this thread show the gen 5 pcv nipple and evap port int he gen 5, gen 3 dont have this. so you need to make it hook up right.
