2004 GT2 with the 6cd disc changer and the monsoon sound system. I have the stock speaker set up, stock amp, stock etc. Haven't done anything to it. I want to make it have more bass. I have no idea how sound systems work or anything like that. I am wondering if i purchase bigger subs, how would I hook them up, etc etc. Should I just have someone do it for me? Thank You!!!

I'd likely remove stock speakers/HU, run new speaker wire, get an aftermarket headunit, a 4 channel amp, steering wheel adapter and whatnot to retain chime (if you have it) and steering wheel controls, install. You could install another amp and a sub if you want to while you're at it.

The Monsoon system is its own animal and not really worth upgrading from what I've read.

Infinity speakers. Step 1 in monsoon if you do not want a full system rewire is replace your rears with infinity component speakers.

You can also hijack the bass signal going into the monsoon, T off of it and add another amp/sub(not recommended).

Your best bet is just to add a small powered sub or an amp and sub.
