I've had no working A/C since early last year. It was a milder summer and I didn't have to use the car much, so I largely ignored the issue. At first I seemed to get somewhat cool air, but only from the passenger side and not the drivers side. I took it to a shop that works on A/C and they flushed the system and recharged it fully, but we couldn't get cold air from the drivers side at all, and it was barely any cooler (still not cold) on the passenger side. They played with it for an hour, looking for leaks but never found any. They said it might be something in the vents themselves, not opening/closing. I didn't mess with it since then (last summer).

Last week my fans died altogether so I used it as an excuse to take a look down there. I used a can of AC recharge to make sure I was still charged up, and I replaced the blower motor (got the fans working again). I also replaced the Blend Door Actuator thinking it had failed and was just failing to turn the blend door from hot to cold, but alas that did not work. I also tried to manually move the blend door control arm, or whatever it is called the piece that the blend door actuator moves, when the car was on. I got the vents to blow much hotter air moving it manually but never cold.

What else is there for me to check? If this is something that I will have to pay to have repaired and is expensive, I will likely forego it. The vehicle has a million other problems as it is (floor boards get wet when it rains and I drive so something must be rusted through, I have no traction control, leaking or more likely burning excess oil, the engine is very very loud when accelerating so maybe exhaust issues maybe trans issues, it goes on and on) so I am not looking to dump much money into it. I would really love to be able to at least drive in comfort in the 100 degree humid summer of Chicago while the car still works!

Wet floor board is a easy fix. Put a deflector in the cowel on pass side. no trac control, is the abs light on as well? If so it's either a bad harness or bad hub usually. Likely is leaking oil, probably from the valve covers (easy fix).

Need to know what your A/C pressures are on high/low sides. You may still have a slow leak. Usually if the blend doors are working ok and you still get warm air from the drivers vents then it's low on a charge. Or a clog in the system.

How is your cabin filter? Blocked cabin filters can cause issues with A/C temp iirc.
