Just had a quick question, an issue came up with my car yesterday. I carpool with my wife to work, we work on different campuses so I take a shuttle after the drive. Anyways, I was stuck at work late so she drove home, the issue came up sometime during her drive, and she didn't tell me about it. Last night I drove the car, it shakes pretty badly when accelerating, seems to feel like the drive side front. Only happens when accelerating, when staying a constant speed or at idle it feels smooth. Could this be a bad engine/transmission mount? Also, don't know if this would be related, i just did some work to my car and changed the oil. I dropped a socket extension in the engine bay, and it landed near the oil filter. Well when I grabbed it, my hand sank into some oil substance. Was super thick and surrounded the extension. Almost like yogurt but thicker, black with a sheen to it. I had the power steering pump and torn CV boot replaced 3+ years ago so I doubt anything stuck around that long. Also just had the tires replaced last month, I know tires would be a constant vibration though. I took a picture of that so I will try to find it and post here if needed. I was worried it could have been the transmission, but that seems to be doing ok. Don't know if this is just engine/transmission mounts or anything else in the front end. It's a 2006 base GP. Thank you guys in advance for your assistance.
