2006 gp GT, lots of miles

So had the teering rack replaced a couple years ago and still had a low speed grind, got a new pump (autozone), still had the grind, replaced pump - worked for a while - then low speed grind came back. Lived with it. Then the steering rack went again. All was good for 7 days and the low speed grind came back. Mech - who I trust - said pump is bad - it is letting air in the system - which I guess makes sense because after service went away for a while.

    So my question is
1 - get another form autozone - free lifetime warranty
    2 - get used OEM one - $60
    3 - get new OEM - $160

I like the ides of free, and I can change the pump in less than an hour, but I am sick and tired of doing it.

    What would you do?

Well, how many times do you want to screw with it? If the answer is one more time then I'd get the Delco one and be done with it. My steering is too important to cheap out on and having a noisy car is just a pet peeve of mine, lol..

jack both front wheels off the ground, then turn the wheels lock to lock 15 times, engine off, this will bleed the rack of any air.

a pump cant let air in the system. mech you trust is silly.
