Hey guys, nice site you got here, this is my first post so let me just say hey, I'm Erik. I just got a 99 GTP last weekend and am looking at my options. I'm not 100% new to cars as this is my 5th, though I have no real experience with working on them or modifying much(other than a few random/small things), and all my experience has been with my civic and crx.

Anyways, I've decided to go with a FWI(after reading much debate here between it and an open cone, lol.) Now the thing is I know the write up is for a 4" pvc pipe, and I'm seeing that there needs to be some cutting done to the fender? What would generally need to be cut or is that pretty much something I'd have to line stuff up and just kind of see. Im not all to comfortable with the idea of cutting my fender and was wondering if there is anyway around this?

If not, then Ill just go with 3" piping but was curious as Id like the looks of 4" better.

Also, would it not be cheaper to go with 3" piping in the first place as you can already use the coupler that is on the throttle body and not have to buy a 4" to 3" coupler? I'm assuming the inch difference in the piping would be such a miniscule difference in performance.

Also Also, with the roof flashing, it says just slide it snug up against the inner fender. Is that to be attached/held in place anyway? Or just left to sit snug against it?

And im assuming painting the pvc would have no negative affects? Dont want it to look all too ghetto, though the pictures ive seen of it dont look so bad.

Thanks guys!
