Looking for a good code reader/scan tool. Something where I can diagnose and clear codes. Perhaps a model that you can also work through CEL issues as well and not simply read them. I imagine spending more than $100, but I don't need anything too pricey.

Let me know if there are any favorites or brands I can look at. I currently have an '04 GP and a '10 Fusion, so I don't need anything that reads older makes or models, thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I love harbor freight, but have heard to steer clear of their electronics section. But if you can vouch for this one I"ll take a look at it, thanks.

I'm used it plenty of times on my own cars and have lent it out to friends too. Works good, and the price is right. Give it a try... you could always return it if you don't like it or if it's not compatible with the vehicles you'll be using it on.

I have this matco scanner for just the small stuff. It doesnt read ABS codes though, which is fine by me.

Has live data and what not and isn't a bad price, had mine for a few years now and this one likely has a few features mine doesnt because it's newer.

I have the Actron CP9580A and it gets the job done. Makes it easy to diagnose codes.
