You should try a new ICM. Also make sure grounding loop for ICM harness is solid.
Could also try a new PCM. If it's reprogrammed just need to upload your current file to new one
I'm gonna get an ICM this weekend, as for the PCM, its been a ZZP tune for the last year with no issues. But I am getting a DHP tuner in a week
If you're gonna get an ICM from junkyard grab a PCM also. When you get DHP then read and save your ZZP PCM and flash the spare. Won't hurt to try
Not a bad idea!! I sure hope the ICM is the problem though lol
most junk yards dont know the pcm is in the air box. i bought two air boxes for 12 each, with the pcm inside them both. pretty sure they charge more for the pcm alone.
gave one air box away, sold the other one.
dont know what happened to the other thread or why people make new ones instead of updating the original thread all that does is make it harder to figure out whats going on and when it started ect ect.....
pretty sure i mentioned icm in the orher thread though reading about this. icms are not an uncommon thing especially if you move the coil packs around and still have miss fire then me personally id try and icm after that. junk icm you can replace coils until your blue in the face and it wont chanfe a thing.
doubt its the pcm.
Scotty I was trying to think of a way to sneak one out hahahahaha
that theft trick was passed down to me,,,,,i keep passing it along myself lol
Gonna stuff the ICM in there too haha
Here is the latest update. Still misfiring, put the new ICM in and it didn't fix anything. I cleaned all the contacts off and made sure everything was corrosion free and it didn't fix it.
Anyone else have a guess? I may look into buying a motor to build and then drop it in
new engine wont fix an electrical issue. do a compression test on that cylinder, see if its the same as the rest of em. all should be close.
I did the compression test last weekend, it's nearly perfect.
sounds like a bad wire somewhere, time for the ohm meter to come out.
Like something inside of a loom? Blaaaah
Yea I suppose I gotta. I searched for a while today for freyed wires in a bunch of areas but came up empty. I didn't use a multimeter, was just looking for cracks/exposed wires and ****
the icm harness can be all fed up and you cant tell unless you take it off the engine, mine was torn up good, cause all sorts of codes to pop up.
what mine looked like.

Well what's throwing me off is there is no codes at all! This was the plug that goes into the bottom of the ICM?
that goes from the icm to the crank and cam sensors, also has the ground loop on it.
