I'm so I have searched and done some troubleshooting but still can't get this car started. So here is the details:
    2003 Grand Prix GTP
    - I can turn the key but get the click to the right of the dash, nothing else coming from the starter.
    - No power to the purple wire at the starter
    - No Power to the NSS
    - Fixed the issues with the wires at the shifter
    - Battery connections and grounds cleaned
    - I can jump the starter and get the car to run momentarily but it shuts off
    - THERE IS NO SECURITY LIGHT ON
    - Have tried replacing ignition switch with no success

Any help on this would be great, thanks

    I have a few ideas:

Hows the charge on the battery? Will it hold a charge?

Yeah I forgot to put that, I took the battery out and checked bad. It was replaced with a brand new one. Holds a charge fine

Thanks!! I'm really leaning towards something in the theft deterent system. I have a new ignition tumbler with new keys and when I replace it the SECURITY light still does not come on. Just want to zero in on what part is acting up.

So you replaced the ignition switch + the lock? Could you try swapping the lock back over to the old lock and key setup?

Have you tried a security re-learn?

Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON (vehicle will not start).
Observe the SECURITY telltale, after approximately 10 minutes the telltale will turn OFF.
Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds.
The vehicle is now ready to relearn the Passlock™ Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK.

    Important
The vehicle learns the Passlock™ Sensor Data Code and/or password on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle.

Start the engine. The vehicle has now learned the Passlock™ Sensor Data Code and/or password.
With a scan tool, clear any DTCs if needed. History DTCs will self clear after 100 ignition cycles.

Yes I've tried that just timing it though as no SECURITY light is on, even with the new cylinder/key installed

What does the wiring harness in the shifter control? I replaced the plug and redid the wiring, maybe I messed something up there? It did however fix my key getting stuck in the ignition.

Ok so just an update for anyone that may be following. With the symptoms and everything I eliminated with being good I figured it had to be the ignition switch. Not the key and tumbler but the wiring harness that plugs into where the tumbler is. It is AC Delco part D1491D. So once I pulled off the lower panel below the steering wheel I noticed some type of GPS sensor deal spliced into the ignition harness. This was obviously causing the issues I was having (should have checked this first!!) oh well pulled the harness and replaced it. She fires right up every time now.

"I can jump the starter and get the car to run momentarily but it shuts off" - this is by design. When the engine is cranking the "R" lead put the full cranking voltage to the ignition to compensate for the draw-down of the starter. When the starter is disengaged, it stops. It also shows that the battery and starter are good.
