I just got an SES light with a MAF low voltage code today on my way home from work. I cleared the code and it did not return aft driving 10 miles. Is it worth trying to clean the sensor? Any other ideas. The car ran pretty normal. Although, it did stumble a little under light acceleration a couple times.

Sure you can clean it, but I'd be looking into a possible wiring issue if it comes back.

Was a great help when I had a P0102, ended up with a bad MAF, bad MAF to PCM wire, and having a melted O2 harness. I probably had worse symptoms though; 12/13 mpgs, white smoke, coughing acceleration, reving idle, ect.

I had that a few months ago. After purchasing 2 MAFs and the problem still coming back after a week I found out my connector pins on the harness were corroded. Cleaned them up, add some dielectric grease and the problem hasn't came back.

I bought a new MAF sensor and the problem seems to be fixed.

I tried cleaning the old sensor and I checked the wiring before and that did not help.

Thanks anyway. Didn't realize you intended to send for cost of shipping only. I bought one off Amazon for $32. Hopefully, it will hold up fine.

I'm putting money on that that is not an AC-Delco MAF if you got it that cheap. Cheap is not your friend when it comes to MAF's. So don't expect that thing to work/fix your problem. I'd buy Tonkins right away assuming it's an OEM one.
