1st. Sorry posting from garage on phone. Can only get one pic attached. 2000 gtp this line run from one side of the firewall up over the tunnel and back down to the passenger side under the car. It is a metal line with insulation over most of it. But the line ends on the passenger side and is not connected to anything and appears crimped closed. As it looks like the end of a flat head screw driver. Ideas?

hard to tell, could be a brake line. more pics. use photobucket or th elikes to host your pics, hosting on site here sucks.

With insulation on it, that'd be my guess too.

Should be a brake line I think.

power steering lines are all under the exhaust and close to the subframe.

my brake lines were covered in some silver heat wrap on the firewall. p/s lines are under the car, not on the firewall. only brake lines go there.

Apparently was an unused brake line, because we still have brakes, lol. Previous owner seemed to like using Pep Boys for repairs

likely the line was replaced and the old one was just cut and left there. see if you can find the other side cut off.

if you say cross over pipe issue.......that would be way to many in a row at this point.

Lol not that I think. Real quick. Installed a set of used GD's Used new Felpro Throttle body and manifold gaskets, no leaks other than the flex that lasted a week or less, then just came apart. Nice dad I am, buys a complete new set, used old gaskets, now a good leak up front, an idle that bounces from 6-900 when warm, and a Cyl #4 misfire (think we fixed that) We pretty much called it a night after one heat cycle and re-torquing front bolts only helped slightly. no RTV used, no tricks tried yet. Oh and now a trans leak from the previous owners hack job of a line repair, hopefully just a clamp issue.

your best to reuse the stock metal exhaust gaskets on the heads, those dont leak.

the surging sounds like a vac leak. a large leak makes it sound like its the most awesome cam known to man lol

leaning over the engine installing the headers could have broken one or pulled it off.

We(he) did that on the 1st install, broke the elbow that connects the line from EGR valve to Throttle body, lol. Yes, will be looking for more vacuum leaks today

He did save the OE gaskets at least, and the front is easy to do.

I am just amazed at how no bolts broke coming out. Other than the stock crossover at the flange, but that was going in the garbage anyway

the cars old, and those lines break super easy. look at em to hard they can snap.

if you have a advance auto local, they got a wall of vac parts, they have a two pack of small T's for 2 bucks that work perfectly. some new vac line and replace most of them for under 10 bucks.

mine came right out too. 235,000 on it for the first time i installed the headers. re used the same stock gaskets on my new engine, no leaks still.

cross over bolts i was 50/50 lol one on both sides snapped. but im fine with that, ill never reuse it.

Ok everything seems to be. Ok. Until. Test drive it falls on its face anytime you give it gas. Prior we had # 4 misfire. The other day cel flashed right away. Then we went about fixing the exhaust leak. Fixed. And now the light didn't come back after a short right. But no a power?

this is a vacuum line diagram for your car. make sure things are looking right.

heres your plug wire order, double check them, it can run pretty damn good with two wires crossed.
