Figures these things always happen when it cold out...lol.

Noticed my passenger rear window would not go all the way up the other day. Removed the door panel and the motor seems to be working correctly, but the cable is not where it belongs.

The cable appears to be in good condtion. I'm thinking the easiest way is to remove the regulator from the car?

It looks like there was a "how to" at some point but the links no longer work.

    Thanks!!

you need to replace the whole regulator. its just a few bolts. pretty simple really.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

Thanks!! I did all 4 window regulators on an older Sunfire...and it wasn't a tough job. At least the Prixs are bolted in....the sunfire i had to drill out rivets.

Any recommended replacement? I see AC Delco on amazon for 101.

its a coin toss how long anything but oem will last. some have good luck with the cheaper ones, some dont.

ive noticed my back window is moving around in the track, thats a sign to be ready to replace it.

While the regulator is out make sure to lubricate the felt window guides with some graphite spray. It will keep the glass from sticking and messing up your new regulator. And clean the glass inside and out as well. It seems like the smallest little bit of resistance on these causes them to struggle and break. Once you replace enough of them you should be able to do one door in 30 min or less panel off to panel on, lol..

I went with the Delco one last time for my drivers window and it seems to be better than the cheaper ones. Just make sure you test the window operation BEFORE you put the panel back on as sometimes the motors are wired backwards and the switch will work in reverse. If so, just pop the wires out of the harness and reverse them. All you need is a good pick.

I was able to get the cable assembly with the lift without a motor for $20 off of eBay, its probably cheap - but the motor is what's important, IMO. *shrugs*
