Hey guys, I'm looking to to convert over to the corn juice of E85. The question have is what size pulley should I buy if I go with the 50lb injectors from Will at Overkill Motorsports? My current mods are in my sig.

Really that small?!?! Lol, Sorry, I don't mean to question you guys, but I thought it was only like 2 sizes you can drop. Should I wait for what size too drop down to after I get another tune?

If overkills current tune is right.. you could drop in 50s, e85, and a 3.0 pulle and go. Obviously you'll need to make sure the fuel pump is ready to party.

Alright, I'm in, I'll start with a 3.2" pulley first to see how much my trans hates me lol, then go smaller(knowing my trans will eventually give up the ghost). Thanks for info fellas'.

When you get a tune have trans tables modified.....drop pan and do a trans service and add a shift kit while you're at it. Help prolong the life of the transmission. Driving style will be the biggest factor.

I know these are separate questions, but I just read Frosty's defacto on E85 again(great sticky info) and....

    1) What fuel pump would be best for an 06 on E85? And....

    2) Is it possible to change the fuel filter on 06 with out taking it to the stealership to get rapped in labor costs? Can I change it on my own?

Will this shift kit work? http://www.amazon.com/Transgo-T84167.../dp/B008XO9ATC

Or is there more too it? The car is my DD as far as normal driving goes, but my plan was to try and get in some runs at Sonoma Raceway before the end of the season.

You should not need a new fuel pump just yet with your current mod list and 3.0-3.2 pulley. Just a fuel pump rewire and maybe a new high flow filter should do the trick just fine.

Also, with a very similar setup (check my sig) I was able to run a 3.1 pulley with little to no knock on E85. Starting with a 3.2 is a not a bad idea. scan with aeroforce, and go from there. Watch your KR at part throttle and throttle increases as well as WOT. I noticed more trouble dialing in my part throttle and quick throttle pushes than I did at WOT on my E85 setup.

    cheers!

Thanks 97AutoXVette, yeah my mods will almost be the same as yours except for the L67 to L32, are you on a stock trans with no problems with that 3.1" pulley?

Ahh, I missed that part about the GT vs. GTP model. And correct, no trans issues. I did do a TON of weight reduction to make it easier on the trans (car was pretty gutted. no interior really, stereo delete, etc.) But, trans was doing just fine.

Hey guys, just an update, I just recently installed my 50lb injectors and 3.2" pulley and the car is a completely different animal. I wish I had switched to E85 sooner. Oh, and you guys were right, I'm getting 0 KR on this 3.2" pulley so 2.8-3.0 would be about right.
