Hey guys...I just came across a problem with my 04 GTP. I used to drive it daily but because of job changes I've being using my Envoy and now the GTP sits unused for several days at a time (sometimes a week or two). So I went to get in it the other day after a decent rain storm and it took me few seconds for it to register in my head why the windshield looked odd. There was water on the inside of the windshield. I'm not sure how the hell I had that much water there but I'm guessing the gasket/caulking across the top of the windshield must be bad. The passenger floorboard was a little damp so it seems like it made it down that far and must have run behind the dashboard to get there. I've done the other repair to with the floorboard leak so I know the carpet being wet must have come from the windshield. I'll have to see about going to a glass shop to get the windshield looked at.

On to the other issue that I'm looking for suggestions. After I got into the car and was driving for a while, I noticed I couldn't control the fan speed on the a/c blower motor. I could control the temperature and also the direction of the heat but not the speed. When I got to my destination and I shut the car of, the blower motor continued to blow at full speed. I tried everything to get it to shut off but had no luck. I check the owner's manual for the fuse location but couldn't figure it out. I was afraid to leave it blowing since I didn't want to come out to a dead battery. I ended pulling the plug right off of the blower motor to shut it off. After it been sitting for the past days without any rain, the problem still exists.

Does anyone have any suggestion as to what might be causing it. Could it be some water is still somewhere behind the dash and shorting something out? Keep in mind it's blowing at full speed if that helps to suggest one thing over another.

    Thanks

sounds like the cowl is leaking on the fan and resistor. resistor could be bad from being wet.
