Brake lines on 2002 are different than 97-01?

Pricing out some new brake lines at Classic Tube, and they have a complete set of pre-bent stainless lines for $239. The catch is they fit 1997-2001, but not the 2002 I have. I called Classic, and the guy said he didn't know why, but this kit is not spec'd for a 2002.

Anybody know what, if anything, is different about the brake line schematic on the 02-03 cars? Typically when you have a platform run like the 97-03 W body, basic stuff like the brake line schematic stays the same, with changes being made only if there is a design issue that is causing issues. I don't have the '01 home to compare but it looks the same going from memory.

Anybody?

I would figure it wouldn't work with the 97 as the 97 had a completely different abs system in it. I would assume the 98-03 lines would be the same.

the early cars had the proportioning valves inline for the rear brake circuits (edit: they are usually located near the drivers side rear trailing arm and the passenger near the upper rear cradle mounts iirc). the later cars had the proportioning valves as part of the master cylinder (these will have large hex "caps" near the outlets that the early master cylinders do not have.

iirc they are about 4-6" long and one side is m10 and the other m12 fittings so they cannot be installed backwards. you may be able to just use couplers to replace the inline proportioning valve.
