Hey all,
Looking for some help here maybe there is someone who possibly experienced what I am experiencing.
I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 148k miles
I was refilling the windshield washer fluid and spilled some to the left which apparently spilled on the wire encasing that goes to the fuse box in the engine bay. Since that point, my car has not been able to start and has been showing signs of electrical distress. On the DIC the first alert I got was "Service Theft System" and then it went through the gauntlet of Service Brake System, Service ABS System, Charging System Failure. When I turn the key, I get a click and that is it, then my dome lights were flashing and there was a lot of clicking going on behind the dash.
The car then began to act like the battery was dying where lights would go dim, and the power locks would be slow to move, etc. So I would leave it for about two hours and come back and try again with similar or worse results, when I'd turn the key I'd get about 5-6 rapid clicks and then nothing.
I decided to disconnect the negative cable and leave it off for the night, I woke up this morning and connected the cable again and went to turn the car on and then received the message that Starting is disabled due to theft system. The alert tone, when you have the keys in and door open was a very squeaky rattled sound and the theft light would flash inconsistently.
I disconnected the cable again and went to work, but at this point I am not sure what I can check, I have not pulled the fuses to see if any were blown, but I am open to any and all suggestions, should I wait a bit to see if it dries up and maybe it will fix itself? This morning there didn't look to be any fluid down there so I'm at a lost.
Thanks in advance!
Paul
