I've read a few threads about fuel but I'm still not sure what would be best for my car (stock 06 GT). In higher altitude states many cars don't need as much octane, so stations carry 91 for premiumis. Boosted cars get crapped on. The only E85 is 70 miles away. Of course some 100 is available but it's $8.50/gal. Toluene here is $25/gal!

I'm new to the boosted 3.8. Will it be OK on 91? Feels like a lot of KR is going on when I floor it. I think it had regular 85 in it when I bought it a few days ago. Did that hurt the engine?

Is there a reasonable fuel improvement idea for what I have available? Thanks.

Stop flooring it if you think there 85 in there and that's it's knocking.

    91 is fine is 93 isn't available

    And stock cars do knock

It can and will blow up on 85 if you are flooring it all the time, 91 is the OEM spec

Xylene is another possibility, if it's cheaper
