Hello, I'm new to this site and im here for some helpful answers from the grand prix pros ! I just purchased a 2000 GP SE 3100 with 112k miles for $1650
Very clean inside and out besides rusted rocker panels and the radio don't work.. the power locks on the doors makes a sound but does not work. Also the window washer fluid doesn't spray out as well.. could this all simply be a fuse? If so, which one ? Or could it be much more serious?

Any answers will be apperciated.. Thanks for welcoming me to the site

    Hi Paul,

I've been a member since 2008, this is by far the best place on the web for help.

First off, if you haven't, invest in a decent repair manual on that car. It will be the best money you spend on it.

If the locks are making a sound, can you feel any movement if you lay your finger on the rocker switch? If so, the solenoids are trying to work but the mechanisms may be gummed up or wore out. Another remote possibility is low voltage into the solenoids. Make sure the master switch on the drivers door is good and not causing a voltage drop. I've owned 4 of these GPs over the years from 97- 02 models and the switches have been a problem.

As far as the radio, there should be a fuse for it to check. Not sure about your particular model but all of mine have had a fuse box inside the car to the right of the glove box behind a panel. If the fuse is good, there is always the possibility the radio just went bad or the power is getting lost somewhere. Were there any after market alarms or sound gear in the car?

The windshield washer (I'm assuming there is fluid in the reservoir tank) could be a myriad of things such as a bad switch, bad pump, clogged hose, clogged inlet to the pump, etc. Again not sure on this particular car, but a lot have the pump mounted right to the bottom of the tank. Make sure it is coming on. You can usually hear them run, especially with the engine off.

These are all the types of problems can can be simple or also a real bear to figure out. Again, a decent repair manual will be worth its weight in gold.

    Airhead.
