Just curious, I've drove a few 04' impalas at work and for some reason they seem a lil more quicker than the average stock 3.8

Did they have a more finer tune from the factory or did they have a fewer more lower gears?

I have a LS and GS, and those impalas definatey move quicker and have a more torquey pick up then a stock LS regal.

Anybody know y these lmpalas seem a lil qicker out the box?
Not your average grocery getter, but theres always at least two things on the list.... 10w-30 Castrol Titanium and Shell 91 premium mixed with a lil 100 octane racing gas......

same gearing and same weight, guessing your regal needs a tune up.
maybe less miles then your regal? or maybe less torque management in the tune.

Wierd bc ive had my LS since it was new and never felt this quick. Don't get me wrong the LS has always been a torquey lil beast but its something about those impalas. I dont like them but they just feel quicker or maybe its just me.

If u haven't drove one yet, drive one and u may feel the difference. If not, then maybe it is just me

I drive one everyday, look at my signature picture lol, 05 Impala LS with the mods in my signature

I got tuned by overkill years ago when i only had a 2.5'' downpipe and a hv3 insert, while tuning Will from overkill kept saying how it felt more powerful then his regal with a zzp plog and same mods as me. weird idk how its possible..

Oh, i just did a tune up on a 07' impala that had the 3.5L, i thought the 3.8 stopped in the impalas in 04'. Must of been 05' then
