Im kind of stumped, im assuming its the catalytic converter is getting clogged..

Put k+n cone filter onto the car, i removed the airbox housing, and used the stock air tube that went to the housing.

I seafoamed the gas this last fall, seafoamed the intake three times since this last fall, i put seafoam into crankcase and drove the car for 25 miles, changed oil and filter.
I changed spark plugs+wires two weeks ago in hope of solving this smell.

When i give it about 2/3 throttle or more, I get this horrible smell come into the cabin of the car. Today, whenever I got onto the gas just a little, it happened.

I am pretty sure its the converter, but feels like car lost a little power, I may hookup my kiwi wireless and my iphone up to see if I can get a hp reading

Almost like a sulfer, not so much rotting eggs, something similar and is not very good smell for me, replaced fuel filter today, no dice. Ac delco replaced with ac delco, so couldn't hurt.

When you try to accelerate does the check engine light flash at you? Is the check engine light on?
These cars usually act the same when the cat is clogged.

    1. Lack of power when trying to accelerate
    2. Check engine light will be on
    3. Check engine light will flash when trying to accelerate.
    4. Should have codes P0420 and P0300 iirc.

SES light is on, p0440(gas cap). I know my gascap is bad, i had a locking one lasted me 2 years, put stock one back on it, gasket is cracked a little. Code comes back after deleting it after a couple days. Smell continues.
Had one tranny code when i threw my tech 2 on it, something about hard shift, and has happened once it said. Didn't have my tech 2 on it for long, but everything looked ok.

To completely rule out the cat, remove your front o2 sensor and take it for a quick spin, if the power is back it is for sure the cat, if it is not then back to the drawing board.

Unplug it, or take the whole thing out, then drive.

Completely remove it. Basically what that does is it gives the air that is getting built up inside the exhaust somewhere to go.

Sulphur or rotten egg as some say is an indication of a bad cat for sure. Do the test Slick suggested, it's going to be nasty and loud but you'll know for sure.

7/8 , and your best bet is to get an 02 socket. autozone sells a good one for 10 bucks or so.
