one with pfte is best. and only the lower intake bolts as they go into the coolant ports of the heads, why they pool up around the bolts, its coolant seeping past the threads.

Be sure to clean the threads in the bolts too.

I always let everything sit in the bucket of Chemdip for a bit. Makes life a lot easier. Then just spray them off with brake cleaner.

Got it, thanks. I think I have all I need. Once everything is off, drain the oil and rinse the valley with oil. Use thread SEALANT on the LIM bolts after cleaning the threads. Once everything is back together, fill the car up with oil and coolant.

Scott.. the o-rings to replace the coolant elbow ones are in the LIM kit. However.. most first timers are going to bust an elbow taking them out. Even if they are metal, especially if they were rtv'd in.

I didn't read closely.. make sure you use pipe sealant on the LIM bolts.

On the UIM bolts... use 89 inch lbs. Do not go over and as you torque them ...watch the ear that you are torquing at. If you see it turning white where it attaches to the UIM, stop right there. I've seen people break off those ears.. it's easy enough to do.

Search on my name and "ea sy" without the space. You'll find plenty of info on various things that may be very helpful. Pics included.
    What is the ear?

drain coolant first, (remove lower hose from engine) dog bones off rock engine back and fourth till no more coolant comes out the lower hose inlet on the timing cover. then lift the lim off level. so you dont leak any coolant into the engine. key is you dont want coolant in there at all if a avoidable.

some one said something about a shop vac on blow to help clear the lim too. via the t stat hole.

ff to 18:45 watch this asshole just let the lim spill into the engine. dont lift it off the way he does.

Is it noticable when coolant goes down? Like will you hear it or see it or something? I mean wouldn't some still be in the coolant ports that stop at the LIM? Through the thermostat (I'm not taking it out, just the hose off), coolant elbow areas, and coolant ports are the only way coolant can escape. So if youre careful in those areas, shouldn't you be ok, especially around the coolant ports?

do like ive told you idk how many times, and nothing should spill.

theres a lip in the coolant ports that will hold back whats left inside the lim, but only if its held level. you'll see coolant if you spill any.

always best to do a oil change tho. unless your 100% sure you leaked no coolant in the engine like i was.

And you're only 100% sure if you drain 75% of the coolant. The video I watched on YT, the guy bought a Dorman LIM and what a POS it was. Half a gallon of coolant leaked in his crank case. Aftermarket parts like that aren't easy to get right.

And if you pull the LIM out to the left, the little remaining coolant should stop at the T-Stat and not drip down.

Dude, I changed my oil <400 miles ago, I'll do anything to avoid changing it again.
