did you have any vibration before the engine pull driving?
and its not supposed to come apart either, unless you ripped it apart, but i think thats kinda hard to do really.

A little vibration, I didn't pull it that hard
I pushed it back when I took the wheel bearing off
How do I know when they go bad, cause I still have the old ones and I can put it back in the car
when bad they vibrate when on the gas, when they first start to go bad its a light vibration when light on the gas, nothing felt when hard on it, but as it wears more they will vibrate bad when your on the gas. you feel no vibration when coasting off the gas.
if you ever felt a bad U joint on a rwd car its the same thing. only you have more U joints in side the boots of a fwd axle.
Ok, so I can put the old one back on then
I bought the transgo shift kit and it just arrived yesterday
I can just follow 02navyblues posting How To Install TransGo Shift Kit 4T65E right
Ok
Thank you
I've used something as simple as a ratchet strap. Looped around the differential (not axle) and hooked onto the top of the firewall.
If you didn't print off the how to ... maybe have it on hand next time. Always.. if you come up against something like the bracket that doesn't say remove oil filter adapter to get bracket, pop online and ask the question. Tons of good people here that know how to get around something like that.
I did print it and even then I forgot the 3 bolts for the torque converter, I think I was getting heatstroke
it was pretty funny, i was putting the engine back in and bill calls me, i pop him on speaker phone and im under the car working on the tc bolts, im clicking the fly wheel with a screw driver and i ask bill so what am i doing now???? he pauses to hear whats going on and says, oh you doing t/c bolts, moving the flex with a screw driver lol even by sound alone he knows what your doing lol
I just want to thank all of the people from the site, for all the help that I have gotten on everything that I needed help with
And for all the help that I am going to get in the future
Thanks again
i would try any type of extractor before drilling and tapping that hole. sears sells these. everyone has a sears near by lol http://www.sears.com/search=easy%20o...lt%20extractor
most auto parts stores have some kind of extractor as well, run like 8 bucks each size. bring a good bolt, match it up use one thats a bit smaller.
I can get some of those extractors from work, not the hole set but 1 or 2 of them
Anything else that I should do to the engine while is out
What kind of paint do I use
And what am I supposed to pant
Never painted a engine before
You didn't sandblast the engine
That looks nice by the way
i used a wire wheel to get the rust off, sprayed it with brake cleaner and primed it with a whole can, got a light coat and a good coat out of the can.
yellow was 3 cans in all. but i got 1/2 a can left, and 2 cans of black, and i have more black left over still.
