rule of thumb here, if you take calipers from a car, use it rotors and pads, nothing else. theres is no mix matching of this part and this part. unless you want to crash and die......

heres a how to for f bodys, pics and parts list too. http://www.regalgs.org/topic/54303-f...brake-upgrade/

the imp or montie brakes replaces the stock crap too. only those just bolt on and dont need a sleeve or the bracket drilled and taped.

posted a damn how to. has everything you need to know about installing f body brakes. has the part # for the sleeve, and where to order them from.

you need a fishing pole now, you've been fed two meals so far.

    Really?

    http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...d-Brake-Thread

everything you want to know and are afraid to ask is there... Yeah, 30 pages, but you'll get the drift on the first few... Give it a shot, read up a little bit.

for the record, the Fbody upgrade is a huge difference. RockAuto has powder coated Fbody calipers for $120 per pair, just a little over JY price, but they're rebuilt and powder coated, so worth it IMO. Then I'd settle for no less than R1 Concepts rotors : )

good of luck and have fun!

I decided ill probably go with RockAuto powder coated fbody calipers with bushings and after market drilled slotted slotted rotors. Im a bit torn between Brake Motive rotors and R1 Concepts a big price difference here any recommendations??

I wasnt trying to buy new brake lines... In his write up he says he doesnt know if the wbody brake lines fit on fbody calipers. Am I going to have a problem? Should I buy Monte Carlo single piston calipers instead of Fbody calipers??

still need to bent the bracket. and theres a pic of it. and how to do it. only difference is you need that sleeve to center the f body bracket bolt. other then that the job is the same.

looking to upgrade my rotors to drilled and slotted. 12" fronts and 10.9" rear. Wondering what everyone opinion is on aftermarket rotors. Really seemed to like the build and quality of R1 but Brake Motive sells very affordable rotors where R1 are more pricey... Anyone want to chime in?
