If you take a look on the side of the intake manifold on the alternator side, you can see the original orange LIM gasket kind of hanging out. I can imagine it isn't supposed to be like that, but nothing is leaking out of it. I have had the entire UIM replaced with metal coolant elbows due to coolant leaking out of it. If the LIM gasket does need to be replaced, I really want to do it myself, but also don't want to replace it unless I absolutely have to. I can't really smell any coolant burning so I don't believe it is bad, but for all we know, it could be. Do you think it sounds like it has to be replaced, or do you think it will be good for a little longer? I know I should have the gasket replaced anyway, but I'm really not looking to do it unless I absolutely have to.
