I have 04 Grand Prix GT and I want to lower it but I was told shouldn't get coilovers so which springs should I get to get the car Lower ?

I used the 04-08 on my 04 but I think the 97-03 would probably look better and give a more even wheel gap.
You guys all running stock struts on the SSC? I definitely want some drop, but if I was to install new struts too are stock fine or something else? Also have to rework the downpipe before I do this which kinda sucks.
OK. I wasn't sure if you had to use special struts that were shorter and made for lowering springs. I've heard of struts blowing out when lowering. Is this only on extreme lowering?
no, they'll take a beating with a more aggressive time table. stock struts aren't valved appropriately for the higher spring rates of the lowering springs.
they'll work, but you'll go through them faster.
If you want to retain stock ride quality, getting the Vogtlands is the right route.
