So I'm looking for the part number for the block in my car and was not able to find it. I did fine these though:

    oil pan part number:

    GM 12581549

block: DR side rear side next to freeze plugs

    3800
    Series

    nothing else in that area.

found a tag with a bar code on it above the bar code was BFL-R the bottom was difficult to read the first 5 digits but got 10RFL B0351736

looked on the web but couldn't find anything.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

I'm pretty sure all the blocks are the same, all series 2 and 3 motor will carry the same series 2 stamp on the block because it was not worth the cost to make a new mold.

If you are looking for like internal differences, I'm pretty sure you have to crack open the motor to tell. I know the connecting rods are different between the L67/L36 and L32/L26 but I don't know exactly what to look for between L32 and L26.
