It's always a sub 2 dollar part that will stop you.

That maybe, but you were a big help as well some others not so much. But you guys are courteous about the whole ordeal.
Jeff
i thought it would be something simple as well, but I thought I had ruled out all the easy things. Hell I had this piece laying in the trunk and it came out of s box of fittings that I got from w friend that is a manager at autozone and he gave me 3 boxes of junk like vacuum fittings, fuses, and just all kinds of misc stuff ( it ain't junk I don't cAre what my wife says.
lol. Thanks for your help as well FFDP.

LIAR!
It's ok Corey we know you're special.
Jeff
Wow, just made my night! Glad you got it sorted. All hail Bill! It ergged me just knowing there was an engine out there that had a blower attached with no boost lol.
Wow...
Thanks, who would have thought someone would put a check valve there. Maybe that's what saved the engine from that 3.4" pulley. Lol.
Jeff
Glad to see it fixed.
FWIW, I really didn't do anything special here. Anyone could have asked for pictures, and if you've been around an engine enough..that piece will always look like a Ford check valve. I say that because Ford always had a billion extra vacuum lines and coolant lines than a vehicle needs.
Does it rip better now that the map can see the pressure?
ps..Jeff....... no vid.. ??? how do we know you didn't give up on us?
Oh, yes it runs like it should now. I was so giddy last night I had to drop my intake back in there.
Lol, I'll post a video when I get home since this computer doesn't seem to want to act right.
When you said Ford uses them all the time, a lightbulb went off as I have seen this same fitting on my 95 Taurus. But what really had me stumped is when I took it off before I was able to blow through it and suck through it with some resistance and that is why I figured it was just a filter. At that time I was getting sporadic boost here and there. For the longest I would get to 5psi as I would climb an overpass on the way to work and when I gave it more throttle it would just drop to 0. Then all of a sudden it just stopped. Now it all makes sense the stupid thing was defective then it started to work correctly and never went back.
Bill you asked the right questions and were as methodical, as I try to be. You didn't pie in the sky it, and that was what I was looking for. I only bought this car at the end of April and so I am not all that familiar with it. I have a 97 Park Ave, but it's not supercharged. I have had other supercharged cars but I got intimately familiar with them after we all know what F.O.R.D stands for. This car is my first GM supercharged, DBW, Return-less fuel system I have owned and I was a little daunted but it since I haven't really been in the performance type engine mode in about 10 years since having kids. I figured this car would be the perfect kid hauler with a little pep in it.
I still can't see anything but KR on my app everything else went dead, but right now I don't care, my car is back to stock running!
Thanks again Bill.
Jeff..the beauty of the GM 3800 is ...they are simple. The things that go wrong are going to be simple, therefore it's a matter of asking the simple questions.
Really..it's a pushrod motor with a charger on top. It's an awesome platform for guys that want to learn, confidence comes quickly because it's straight forward.
When you pulled that bcs to bca hose ....you have to get boost as long as the actuator is working. I think you were getting some, but the map couldn't see it and therefore timing and fueling was wonky as a result. Things didn't add up and when I saw that Ford part on there... I thought...Ford part.. lol
The reason I said wow is because I thought that was covered right from the start.
Most of the "T"s I see have the check valve or a small brass restricter inside. Usually used for the washer fluid lines. Ask me how I know - I've grabbed the same ones before. Sucks about the amount of work covered under the assumption this was covered lmao!
glad it's working now. Will we see a gen5 for sale in the classifieds soon?
